It all started with the music: at the early age of four, I started to play the piano. Soon after that, I began my education in Classical Ballet, later followed by Contemporary Dance and Jazz.

Everything changed though, when I peeked through the window of a milonga on a snowy December day... I got drown into a world full of magic and emotions.

That´s when I decided to dedicate my life to tango...

Text: Both have had an extensive artistic and pedagogical training, from an early age in Ballet, Argentine Folklore, Music, Flamenco and Figure Skating. When Tango finally entered their lives, they were influenced by great mentors such as Osvaldo Zotto, Gloria & Eduardo Arquimbau, Nito & Elba and Pedro Monteleone, among others. Their elegant, sophisticated and transgressive image, but at the same time fresh and sensual, attracts the attention of the public that follows them all over the world.

Gunner Svendsen is a pioneering figure in the Danish tango scene, renowned for introducing authentic Argentine tango to Denmark. In 1991, he organized the first workshop featuring original Argentine tango in the country, marking the beginning of his extensive involvement in teaching and performing tango both domestically and internationally. As the founder of Tango del Norte, Svendsen offers a range of tangorelated services, including group classes, private lessons, workshops, and tango events. His teaching style encompasses various tango forms, from close embrace to more open and show-style movements, aiming to provide students with the skills to enjoy dancing at milonga. Beyond traditional classes, Svendsen has introduced initiatives like the milonga La Boca Tangosalon, to foster a welcoming environment for dancers of all levels.
